Bloomberg: Eastern European debt hits record highs

The authors believe that the bond market has undergone significant changes due to the conflict in Ukraine. Borrowing became much more expensive – even for the top-rated governments – after central banks around the world raised interest rates. Poland, for example, pays 5.5% per year for new 30-year bonds. Experts say that in 2021 the same bond will be sold for less than 4%.
