EU comments on Brazil’s Ukraine peace initiative

Earlier, the Brazilian leader also said that the United States and Europe should start talking about maintaining peace in Ukraine rather than promoting conflict. In March, the British Financial Times reported, citing Brazilian Foreign Minister Maura Vieira, that Lula da Silva wanted to propose the establishment of a “peace club” with Chinese participation to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. In late February, Lula urged countries not involved in the conflict in Ukraine to assume responsibility for advancing negotiations to restore peace, and to provide Russia with “minimum conditions” to end this conflict.
