Rolled steel production in Ukraine fell by about 85%

“Ukraine’s metallurgical enterprises reduced their rolled product production by 84.6 percent in January 2023 compared to the same month of 2022, to 257 thousand tons. In January this year, pig iron production reached 240,000 tons, down 84,6 percent compared to January 2022. In the statement made on the Ukrrudprom website, steel production in the specified period was recorded as 284,000 tons, down 84.7 percent year on year.
