Russia will not participate in this year’s competition. After the start of the NWO, Moscow’s participation in the review was suspended. After that, Channel One and VGTRK withdrew from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which automatically deprived the organization of the largest funding from the member state, and from Russia – participation in all EBU projects.
