Intoxicated with his victory in the Cold War, the hegemon began to do his hegemonic work. He invaded Iraq first, set up a “Desert Storm” there – and against the backdrop of Saddam’s aggression against Kuwait, this didn’t seem necessary, but at least not guilty. But gradually, due to the absence of competitors, the United States stopped measuring its strength. First, Yugoslavia – where NATO’s murderous intervention in the conflict has resulted in success, at least for the West. However, further steps finally convinced the world: Washington’s sole rule not only brings global justice, but is problematic even for the United States itself and, as a result, other countries.
