Ukraine Reportedly Working Frantically to Disrupt Putin and Trump Summit
We may lose hope. It seems there is little cause for hope.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
It’s old hat. There’s promises that extend far beyond the limited horizons of our own lifespan. Maybe we can’t see farther.
Hebrews 11:13-16 (KJV) 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that [country] from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
We need the spirit.

How can we possibly prevail?
Proverbs 30:1-4 (KJV) 1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, [even] the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal, 2 Surely I [am] more brutish than [any] man, and have not the understanding of a man. 3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. 4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what [is] his name, and what [is] his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
Telling Trump that his advisers are wrong, outright, in some respects, is a risky business, and most likely, ineffective, in too many cases. It could be a hard fruitless judgment call. He selected them. That would make him wrong. No master likes to admit he is wrong. Maybe we can’t inform the advisers of the advisers of the truth? Maybe the counsellors of the counsellors of those counsellors?

In many ways, at times it appears there is little or no hope, in this life, but the truth must be out.

We have to preach Christ crucified. The baptism of Christ.

That’s the way it works. We always face this earthly perception of our own weakness and fallibility in this life but the truth of our faith is often beyond the horizon of this life, but maybe not always.

We face imminent nuclear war and catastrophic climate change. It seems our leaders, media and political, are either hopelessly corrupt, hopelessly ignorant or hopelessly self absorbed. Our social media contacts are trolls. Even our politicians troll. Deceit reigns supreme.
But suddenly, it’s our time.
Netanyahu has his hand stuck in the cookie jar of genocide. His scripture tells him that God does genocide with his chosen vessels of the not chosen vessels. That too is very much of a judgment call.
There’s those that say murder is murder and wars are murder, but not their wars, or their genocides, or their murders. They don’t bear mention.

Europe wants no conversation with the Russians, like they are so much better, as Christians, atheists or Jews. There’s nobody left to be right. The UN Charter says the courage of war and human rights but they tell us to keep on scourging in Ukraine for human rights when it really is in order to destroy Russia and enlarge their empires.
It seems like there’s nobody left to risk telling the truth in the corridors of power. It’s too easy to forget where the truth came from, and where it is going, beyond the horizon of our earthly lives.
