Russia proposes to criminalize fake cigarettes

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also told the agency that “the bill should complement Article 171.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation with a new section that establishes responsibility for production, procurement, storage, supply (including imports entering the Russian Federation and exporting from the Russian Federation) large-scale processing of tobacco products, tobacco products, nicotine-containing products, raw materials for their production where an appropriate license is required.
