Russian ambassador says Moscow remains an important trading partner for Vienna

“If we act with Austrian statistics, the value of bilateral trade for the 10 months of 2022 has reached a record level of 8.38 billion euros, increasing by 65.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021. Russia’s export volume has almost doubled to 6.86 billion euros. … Imports decreased by only 6.3 percent to 1.51 billion euros. It is clear that the high export performance is largely due to price increases in the energy markets, but this does not change the essence of the matter.”
