United States begins shipping tanks to Eastern Europe in bulk

In December, the US transferred about 700 combat vehicles to Poland, including Abrams tanks. This was implemented as part of the “Atlantic Resolve” program. It started in 2014 and aims to strengthen the American presence in Europe. As part of the operation, some units of the US Army are sending separate units to Europe stationed in countries on NATO’s eastern flank.
